The Eaters
In Quantum Project’s 31st exhibition, “The Eaters,” an obscure dinner table takes center stage. Noodle curtains veil the entrance into the installation space, and once entered, visitors become witness to a table of voracious eaters. On the other side of the room, a voyeur audience is stationed, watching them as they eat. In this bar, the desire of gluttony and voyeurism collides, creating a strange imagery. Here, peeping at others during the intimate practice of eating becomes a form of entertainment. Visitors are made into not only observers, but also the strangers.
